My Nightmare Kitchen Floor!

At West Wales Retreat, we have to consider Bwthyn Gilfach whilst realising that this is also we we live. Although a totally separate building and away from the holiday cottage, it is our home.
The kitchen was a disaster area - old and tired but, more importantly perhaps, the floor was unsafe, draughty and hollow underneath. When someone said that they could fix this and lay a new concrete base and smoother concrete on the top, we employed them to do it, thinking this would save money and time.
The lesson that we have learned is that when you want something professional doing, always employ a professional to do it.
Not even an apology or any attempt to have a look at their work. So, an expensive learning exercise and a small claims may be the way to resolve this.
If it sounds too good to be true, there is no doubt it is!
