Winter Ducklings?

Whilst we enjoyed a warm October, some of the females seem to think it's Spring and have begun pairing up with the males, making nests, laying eggs and sitting on them.  Now it's getting much cooler, we have tried to make them individual pens in case we do get Winter ducklings.

This isn't how it's supposed to be and if they hatch it will be a far cry from sitting with Mum in the Spring sunshine.
